Evoque windscreen
Don't go breaking an Evoque windscreen, it will cost you £1268.88 at Autoglass
Fortunately company car so covered on account but still......

I would guess most people have windscreen cover in their private car insurance, but don't company car policies include it as well?Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Depends on whether you specify the insurance to do so.
At work I don't simply because the cover cost is equivalent to around 8-10 windscreens a year
Most years that works out fine.
Last month we broke four windscreens. Luck of the draw I suppose.
Most years we come out ahead not having the cover.

Some of the cheapest policies even if fully comprehensive don't include windscreen cover. It makes them look like a good deal on go-examine-a-rodent.com but I know someone who found out the hard way that their good deal on insurance wasn't really very good when they hit a low flying stone. MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added
MY2019 D5 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - sold to a dealer for a crazy price! - So good I bought another!

Or like I had, when the original windscreen seal fails both the local dealer and Autoglass wanted similar money if in the event they cracked the screen trying to cut it out and rebond it..
JLR warranty did not cover water ingress despite it being an Oem fitted screen from new...
Had to go mental with JLR to effect any repair...

Whether covered on insurance or not (we ‘self insure’ our cars in reality, just 3rd party cover and expect we pay nowhere near invoice figure) there’s no such thing as a free lunch (or 95% ‘discounted’ lunch in this case if just paying £75 excess) and these costs filter down to Joe Public’s wallet somewhere down the line.
There’re been discussion on here about ‘watering down’ cover now so many cars have pan’ roofs and one that went on SWMBO’s DS a couple of years back was ‘over £2k’. That’s enough to write a car off a few years down the line?
