Newbie with IID

Hi could some tell me what I need to do with the IID to get a reverse camera working on my disco 3 it’s had the Range Rover mod carried out wiring in a camera but don’t know what to do to configure it thanks mark

Connect a battery charger to your car and ensure battery in top condition before starting.

Don’t do this proc if it’s been parked for weeks

Select car config from the iid menu
Select confirmed list
Find reverse camera and change to enabled

Tell it to write updates
The car will go a little crazy

Follow on screen messages

The tool does need to be licenced to the cars vin

Free if tool is brand new.
If second hand at least £65 I think to get vin registered. Not sure

If you brought it new, you'll need to activate it for your car.

Hi second hand but transfer it to me via gap so all working. Just asking is it straight forward or do you need to send a ccf or pay for a file ect or is it just clip download and all done

I have had an IID tool for a while and used it to read and clear codes on my D3 and now D4 - but I don't think I have formally registered it anywhere.

Where do I do this? on their website?
by doing so do I unlock a load more features? like what? formerly Disco3Ben

I just did my iid tool a few weeks ago.

Plug it into the car and follow the instructions on how to obtain the HEX unlock code, I did that on the dash display.

Email that code to GAP and pay the £25 and they will update your details and unlock the tool so you can then re-enable it to your VIN.

Was pretty straightforward.
