Boingy sqeaky noises

When I turn my ignition key to position 3 before turning the engine on, I get this series of chirrups, clicks and squeaks that seem to come from the passenger footwell. I figured this might be the DVD sat nav reading the disk in the DVD player as it sounds a bit PC-like but it's pretty strange nonetheless.

Nothing has fallen off the car (yet) so I've ignored by cranking up the stereo. Anyone any idea what it is????

btw - I've started getting the Low Coolant warning and it looked full when cold. Thus, I put a dribble of antifreeze and water in and it seems to have stopped. Will keep you posted.

Yup, that'll be the SatNav DVD, it sits there whirling away by it self. Program in a destination a good few hundred miles away and it goes into overdrive Very Happy

What would happen if I put Lord of The Rings DVD in the DVD player under the seat? Presumably, as it's DVD Rom, nothing but it would be nice if it were a short cut to in car DVD.......

Not that I have looked into it ( and it is probably a silly Q) but what is the electrical looking box under the drivers seat on a S.
Is it the stereo amplifier?
