No it's bonded in so you have to cut it out, so you can't remove it without destroying it.

No its still in brake light, only the RRS had it in the shark fin, the old D3's with shark fin had mobile antenna in there as far as I recall.

Just get a cheap magnetic gps aerial and jion the wire to the original and place the aerial to get a good signal hidden in the car.

Flack Thumbs Up

Just done it, but my GPS flag on the satnav is still there Neutral

I suppose could be something wrong in the dvd unit Sad

having similar issues, could be due to changes lat year to GPS signalling.
I tried cheap antennae and replacing DVD unit, still the same -takes a while to get a GPS lock.

My D3 has the gps with a cross through it all the time and thinks I’m in the middle on the Solent. Happened since I switched to a d4 unit and then back. Sounding like it may be a faulty dvd unit. What do you chaps think?

In my case with both antennas, the navigation is good but only the altitude data (visible in offroad mode) is missing triggering the GPS flag in the top left corner of the screen.

After 6/7 minutes in still position it goes out and altitude comes up, but just pressing any hard key to resume the Nav page and the GPS flag pop on again Neutral
