P017 Servo Oil
I changed the brake fluid in my wife's D3 at the weekend. All was well, a nice firm pedal but a surprising amount of air came through the N/S/F. Anyway i took it for a test drive and all was well until i tried an emergency stop at which point the brake pedal felt like it bottomed out but had only traveled a very short distance. I couldn't understand why this would be so i got to searching and happened across the P017 recall info which i then suspected. Today I contacted LR UK who confirmed that the recall work had been done so I dipped the Servo and it has oil in it. I then contacted my local dealer who thinks the recall was carried out in 2017 but i know for certain that it wasn't as we bought it before then. The upshot is, it's now booked in for this Wednesday morning for the dealer to sort it out. Let's see!

Update: Harwoods concur that there is oil in the Servo/Booster. LR have declined to fund the remediation work as they think they've carried out the P017 fix. I've now escalated and stated that irrelevant of what they've done to date, the point of recall is due to a safety issue and my car has that very safety issue. If they've done work previously it's clearly been inadequate. They've asked for a copy of the V5 to prove it's mine (my wife's) and am now awaiting an update.
