Surround Cameras Again!
A couple of days ago, I switched on the ignition on our 2016 Landmark fitted with surround cameras, to check the tyre pressures, Ad-Blu level etc., and then started the car without switching off the ignition to recycle the glow-plugs, so it turned over a few times before it caught (usually starts easily, and has done since, so no problem there). As it was turning over, the message “Camera System Fault” appeared briefly and then went out. Having had a D4 for the past eight years having messages flash up isn’t that uncommon in my experience, so I thought no more about it.
However, if I press the camera button on the dash, rather than all the camera views showing, it starts with two large Junction views. I can get the other displays to show, but not the home page via that button. But if I activate the cameras through the touch screen they open with the Home screen as normal. I’m sure that pressing the dash button used to give the home screen (perhaps someone could confirm it please?).
I have a BT-IID, but haven’t had chance to have a look to see if any faults are logged yet.
I’m wondering whether a hard reset might be required?

Sat in mine now and that is how they work for me. Button on the dash with a camera on it, goes straight to the junction view.
Then main screen menu for the other views via Cameras.
Logical to me as driving along and stopping at a junction, you just want a quick press of that button to see left and right rather than faff about in the menu whist getting honked at
That said it would be better to get a quick pastel drawing as that would be better quality IMO. In today's world, if you contribute something, you don't contribute enough. If you contribute nothing, you receive everything.

Thank you very much for that. It just shows what happens to your memory when you’re getting on a bit.
Oh, we’ll not go down the quality (or lack of) on the images route!

It’s the shortcut button, you can set it up for any 2 views, i.e. front junction view, Kurb view, front left and rear etc.012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)
