I have a strange electrical fault on my D3 HSE 2006 plate. It started with a driver side window not working and investigations have turned up some odd things. When you turn on the ignition the indicator repeater in the drivers door comes on and the passenger and driver windows do not respond from the drivers master control switch. After a couple of minutes the indicator goes out and the passenger window works from the drivers master control but the drivers side sounds like it is trying but does not move. If you turn on the ignition and then turn it off so the timer is running the indicator goes out and the passenger window works But drivers side tries like before but no wait. If you turn on the ignition with the electric mirror disconnected the indicator repeated does not come on and the same result with the windows. I have ordered a new drivers side window motor as that may be faulty but the rest i don’t t understand. I have seen a video on YouTube with the exact same problem but no solution. Incidentally if you use the rear window switches from the master control after the indicator has gone out it switches the indicator on again! I am querying bad conections, broken wires and earth issues. Any help please!

Break in the earth wire into the drivers door I think.
Temporarily add an earth between chassis and earth wire in door
And see if it fixes it
