hi line radio not MOST system - bluetooth module

Hi All, this one has me stumped a little with bluetooth. 2008 V6, HSE (middle east market so LHD).
Hiline radio system (6cd465) with Harman Kardon system (tweeter and mids front door, mids and bass in rear doors and separate subwoofer in the rear), Navi etc. According to all reports this should be the MOST system with the optic fibre link , but after removing the passenger rear panel (RHS being LHD) as shown in all diagrams, there is no wiring harness or optic connectors to install a RRS nokia bluetooth module i picked up yesterday when in theory it should be a plug and play? I have IID toll make the CCF file changes. Did they not have a standard harness for all the HSE spec vehicles to allow the options? I am just about to pull the drivers side rear panel off (your passenger side) to double check but thought i would just see first if this is the case.

thanks
Clay

there would never be a spare optical connector, as the system needs to be a loop.

There maybe a TMC (Traffic info) silver box (don't know about your market), which you could disconenct the optical cable from and use that for the phone.

Otherwise you can purchase optical extender type cables

They won't have the other wires for a phone either, but if you are fitting a D4 system this only requires 2 power wires

Thanks Pete, i was hoping to find the loop connector/ factory harness preinstalled at the location to complete the system. The more i think about it would it be a completely separate loom as an add on plug in/option to the hi line radio do you think? no traffic indicator boxes across here at all, they would be sending alerts every 10 seconds the way the driving is.

thanks
Clay

this is the easy and best way to fit.

Putting a D4 module in the front

thanks very much for that Pete, exactly what i was looking for and the pdf from wiggs regarding the installation as very simple. will look around here for a wrecked d4/ range rover and see what i can find and then just get the optic interface to plumb into the system.
cheers
