AA used car warranty

Has anyone had any experience with AA used vehicle warranties at all? I'm looking at purchasing a car and have been offered a 2 year AA warranty with it? worth it or not is the question? www.southeast4x4response.org.uk Responder of 9 years service SE140

They have to give you unlimited warranty for 3 months anyway so if your paying your only getting twenty one months and paying for there three months.
You really need to read the small print some warranties are very good but some only cover certain items upto a certain value. Like £1000 for an engine repair that could cost three time that. They often dont cover parts like clutches and brakes that wear.
Some members have used some other warranty companies who have coughed up large amounts for new engines so it may pay to hear there imput.

I have had a RRSport and now 2 Discovery vehicles. We also own other vehicles.

The only company we use is Warranty Direct. That is through recommendation and experience.

My only experience of the AA is that a breakdown warranty we once had was so limited in the levels that it would pay out was that it was helpful but no where near enough.

If you search 'Warranties' on here you will find a lot of very useful information.

Finally, if it helps. I'd not use the AA to cover a vehicle like a Discovery and the potential big bill for an engine or crank. My Warranty Direct will.
