I know someone who believes all this and tries to tell anyone about it who will listen to him long enough.
He is old enough to know better at the age of 74 but he has always been a bit of an attention seeker so i think he likes the attention whether people tell him he's an idiot or they believe what he's saying.Stu

Conspiracy theory industry is about making the believers feel important/special, and then taking money off them. It's a religion without a god, in effect, or rather there is an "anti-god" in the form of the "deep state". There are still "high priests" - the flat earthers and anti-vaxxers have this fully tied down. They hold conferences, sell tickets and sell merchandise, making money out of people etc. The "high priests" are the ones that speak at the events, have the youtube channels that make money etc. No doubt the QAnon "leaders" also make plenty of money from youtube channels and the like.
The flat-earthers and anti-vaxxers have a strong foothold in the evangelical right in the US, for some reason. The same people that think that the Earth is 6000 years old, dinosaurs either didn't exist, are a hoax or were around at the time of Adam.
They're all just ways to take money off people.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

"When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die! You don't know who's children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they were always going to have to do from the very beginning: SIT DOWN AND TALK!"
