I need the wisdom and guidance of the members of this forum.
I have a 2007 Disco3 that is really testing my patience.
When switching the car to key position 2 to allow it to do its checks, it gives errors "Transmission fault - stop with care" and "HDC fault - system not available". The lights around the Terrain Response rotary control is also not lit.
However, the car changes gears smoothly, almost better than the Range Rover - only problem is that goes to its bump stops.
When we start the car without waiting for it do its checks and lift the suspension it goes up a little bit until the errors show on the dashboard then it stop. We have managed to get it up to its highest setting by doing it; however as soon as we drive it, it drops down again.
The above all started after we replaced the battery of the Disco3.
The following errors show:
- dashboard error codes: Transmission fault - stop with care; HDC fault system not available
- using an OBD reader codes:
- P080A - Clutch position is not found; Clutch position is not learnt
- P0806 - Clutch position sensor - circuit range / performance
- U0421 - Invalid data received from ride level control module;
- U0403 - Invalid data received from transfer case control module
- U0416 - Invalid data received from vehicle dynamics control module
- B1A87 - Battery disconnection / electronics control unit reset
- U0184 - Lost communication with audio unit
- U0138 - Lost communication with all terrain control module
- U0140 - Lost communication with the body control module
- U0132 - Lost communication with ride level control module
- U1A4A - Invalid data received from differential control module - rear
We have to date done the following:
- removed and cleaned rear differential module
- replaced rear differential module
- cleaned the front valve block
- checked fuses and relays
- replaced the new battery with another battery
Have you checked the connections inside the battery box to the various modules, notably the TCCM as it may have corroded terminals that were disturbed when the battery was swapped.
Also did you wash the engine bay at all?1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

@TigerRecovery
Thanks, will check the connections.
No, we did not wash the engine - I don't allow water anywhere near the engine except in the radiator and window washer bottle

Looking at your codes the only ones that you need to look into are the two clutch ones.
The U codes are information and the battery one is from you replacing the battery without letting the car go to sleep.
