Headlamp flash no worky after 4.5 upgrade. SORTED
Hi folks. olyog a 2010 d4
so after the headlamp upgrade last week
my stalk operated flash does not work...
searched the site to death as well as google buy cannot find a definite answer, so here's what I know and tried so far
lights are set at scandinavian .... no flashy on (auto setting )
lights set at canadian .... no flashy on (auto setting)
lights set at drls. ... no flashy
they flash if headlamps are on
car off, you can operate the stalk and hear the shutters activating
have read of another relay needed but this seems to relate to a d3 to d4 upgrade
any help would be muchly appreciated

You need an Iid to change the ccf setting - will need Patrick from GAP to give you access to the extra settings available so you can change the headlight settings so the car knows it has a single xenon bulb and not the earlier bixenon setupMust stop buying shiny toys....

as said above, I had this when i did the upgrade on my old D4, the settings still think there are 2 bulbs so send the flash signal down the orginal wire that now has nothing on the end effectively. Changing it to single via IID cures it but the option is in a 'hidden' menu on the IID2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

all sorted, quick email to Pat & team
granted me access to the unconfirmed ccf list
High beam lamps is the only setting i'm going to mess with
although the 4.5 headlamps i have purchased (which now flash)
are the AFS type
but curiously the bulb holder was zip tied to a drilled hole in the rubber cover flange ?
and half the I.D label cut off on each headlight
