I have a issue with my auto box, it’s really slow getting up to any speed and the when you do when the torque converter locks it screeches or squeals, (just sounds like oil spraying under pressure to me)in all gears, and you get the odd noise when it changes gear. Other than that it still shifts smoothly has no judder (had another torque converter fitted because it did have a slight judder)
Anyone have any ideas? I’m pretty sure it’s never had a service and I fear it is beyond help now.
Can’t just me me who’s had the issue.
Many thanks

Not sure if this helps. I used to have a Volvo auto. When I got stuck in traffic for a long, the box got hot, it squeeled like crazy. Is your box overheating. Presumably there is an auto box cooler somewhere, maybe on the side of the main road. HTH. 1955 SWB Series 1 86 inch
