I think that‘s a really long shot.
I got the bush company roof top tent and I‘ve never seen another one on the road.
The 270 awning is even far more rare.
Maybe it‘s easier if you look for an used Alu Cab shadow awning.
Or the Rhino Batwing but that one is not self supporting which I find is no issue. I would never set up an awning without ropes._,,,_______///________

Thanks, I know it’s a long shot. I’m in contact with SA about shipping one to UK. The nature of this one is ideal for my business use here in the North Highlands.

It might be worth asking if they'll do a batch order and see if you could run a group buy on here.

Custom Leisure Tech is the company who builds and develops all the stuff for The Bush Company. Their prices are fantastic, too. I asked them a year ago to ship me a roof top tent but it wasn‘t possible.
The Bush Company bought most export rights to European countries. Tuff-Trek is an exception and they sell their version of the same rebranded roof top tent.
If you know a buyer in SA who could buy from Custom Leisure Tech directly and ship it here that would be the cheapest solution. Otherwise you need to order from Bush Company SA I guess._,,,_______///________

Having watched the video I'm sure a UK based sail-maker could knock the awning up for a sensible amount if you are able to sort out the support arms and pivotCurrently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

LVB overland are supplying them new if you're still looking....
*Edit
Did you fit one? How is the height/clearance above the doors?
I was looking at adding a Rhino Rack batwing but LVB don't sell Rhino Rack, they let me know they have the Gullwing. They are supplying the roof tent and rack, there's quite a big price difference for the awnings so I'm wondering if it's worth the upgrade.

No one in South Africa got back to me - quite unbelievable! IMHO, if a company is slow to deal with you BEFORE they have your money, they are unlikely to be responsive after they have your money!

Thats amazing, I'm constantly surprised at companies not seeming to be so interested in taking the money in front of them and then at the same time spending fortunes on advertising to create new demand. Insane.
What did you go for in the end? Or did you just leave it?
LVB have them in stock in the UK as far as I'm aware. I have no affiliation but I am buying my tent and rack from them....

Unfortunately South African businesses are severely locked down so yes communications will be difficult at this moment in time.
Many UK companies are struggling with communication at the moment with office staff and workshop staff still on furlough. I know of one local engineering company who's staff are due back in at work in about 10 days time, however there is a threat of a local lock down again.
Batwings are available in Europe at Taubenreuther in Germany as well as available in the UK

I agree Brendan, I also feel if that is the case then set an auto response on your email letting the consumer know the situation and service etc they can expect at the moment. Consumers, in general, are very reasonable when kept informed but will quickly be turned off if feeling neglected.
Spending a couple of minutes setting up an auto response or adding an information banner to your website keeping your customers or potential customers informed would be a very sensible choice if service is severely impacted... which is totally understandable.
*Edit: Reading it back it seems like I'm talking about Leeds or any company he's affiliated with. Not the case, I refer to companies who are maybe struggling to keep service levels in the current situation.
On the contrary, Brendan has taken his time to message me privately around other topics/queries/goods on this forum and has been nothing but helpful.

Again not sure if you got one or not but LVB will have both the 270 XT and the 270 gullwing within two weeks. They had some but they sold them very quickly.
I'll be taking one but not decided if I'll take the XT or the standard gullwing. There are quite a few statements on the interweb that the XT is the bigger version but that doesn't appear to be the case. They are both 2.3m long so my assumption would be that they both have the exact same coverage.
Reading the blurb I am making an assumption the XT stands for 'extra tough' or something like that. It's heavier than the gullwing and doesn't come with legs 'because it doesn't need it'. It also looks like the *arms are different in construction.
LVB are going to get back to me and let me know. I've also asked if there's a difference in the size when it's packed up and attached. I want the closed side awning to have as low a profile as possible when driving.

Still want/ need one! The XT is the model I require as I live in the north Scottish highlands and need something quick to deploy and retract whilst being robust.
If you can get them, I’d be interested in a price and supply times!!!

Like I say, no affiliation to me other than I am spending a significant amount of money with LVB. Roof tent, full length rack, awning and everything to put them together.
I basically found LVB as I was searching for a specific James Baroud tent, they were the only distributors who got back to me. I have not actually recieved anything yet as I would like it all in one shipment. Seems to be a reputable and long standing business.....
They have been most helpful on the telephone or via email. They appear to have a rebuilt webpage, which is night and day compared to their last one, in a good way.
An email exchange this morning regarding some of the items I am purchasing stated they will be getting both awnings in two weeks time.
