Very pleasant surprise!

I am a Londoner but since 16 years back I live in Sweden on a farm with horses and loads of Borzoi hounds, my wife breeds them!
Anyway here the winters are tough, snow, ice and cold is the norm during a 5 month's winter!
Came out this morning just to find at least half a meter of snow, new snow but soft, what they here call powder snow and this is a dodgy type of snow because whatever winter-tires you use it sort of never gets a proper grip on this type of snow!
Well I have a Disco 3, 2007 Tdi6 so for the first time I put it in Low and the car just glided through like a hot knife in butter without the slightest problem at all!..far, far better then my RR which is a much younger, 2016 model! must say it impressed me! Smile

The difference must be the additional weight of the D3. Assuming the same tyres etc. Thumbs Up

Metal studs. Not legal for road use here in the U.K.

Weight has its plus and minus points.

I found the D3/4 a nicer tow car than the D5. I can only imagine that was due to the extra weight.

extra weight helps alot with towing, D5 is a nice tourer though.
