Which rubber floor mats for the D5 |
|
Any recommendations? I need robust mats which will hold water and mud so ideally with a lip. The dealer told me to pass on the LR ones.

Hi Jeremy,
Firstly congratulations on your new D5, I also traded in my D4, it’s a very different beast. Regarding the mats the genuine LR mats are fine, good quality etc, for me a negative is the drivers mat is only half length of that of a D4 mat, it does allow dirt and mud and the likes on to the carpet under the pedals. Not sure why LR made them that way, never had any problems with the full length mat getting caught anywhere on the D4.
Good choice of new car and good luck with your decision with the mats.

I have the standard LR rubber mats and wet muddy feet. The LR ones do the job well. You get a bit of loose dirt on the unprotected carpet under the pedals but it cleans off easily. MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

I have the genuine rubber set. Just bought the Britpart set as well which covers all the driver area including under the pedals. Is superb... through I had to buy the set which I won’t use (just drivers). However, to me it smells of rubber, but to the rest of my family they are convinced it smells of p*ss. Currently airing it outside for a few days! 2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +
