Pilchard was common..... But can't say I recall Whitaker as a term from the days of pain when my ex made me sit through that tripe. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Why would you watch such rubbish? Once you have defeated the idiots any job is half done. Pity there are so many idiots to defeat.

Must admit I would prefer to trap my fingers in the door for half an hour The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the best of everything they have.

Is it my poor recollection but when EastEnders first started did they use "Whittakered" as an ersatz swear word? Google has let me down.
Thought you were getting rid of your license as you didn’t use any of the BBC Services? Now Golf GTI PP, 7 speed DSG.

Indeed. Hence the ex now being the ex. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I remember when it started - 1985?
I have a confession - me and the girlfriend at the time (now wife) watched every soap:-
Coronation Street
Emmerdale Farm
Brookside
Eastenders
Families
We are both now happily cured and watch none of that cr*p Now Golf GTI PP, 7 speed DSG.
