Which locking wheel nuts do i have?! Help!
Hi all
Is it possible to tell from the photgraphs which locking wheel nuts i have? When i got the car i failed to check to see if the removal 'thingy' and the corect 'bit' where in the car. As i am 400 miles away from the dealer i got the car from its not easy to pop in and sort it out.
Thanks a million

Nope.....
Take it to any dealer and they should be able to help.
You need to find out what letter is on the wheel nut adaptor.

Thanks for getting back to me. I thought as much, however the problem is... where and what is the wheel nut adaptor?
I will try and get to a dealer over the next week or so.
Thanks

The adapter is a socket that fits the locking nut, with a 22mm hexagon (same as wheel nut) at other end, to drive it with. I think the official place for this is under the toolkit pouch in a little recess(r/h rear side panel in boot), but could be in glovebox, ashtray, or just about anywhere, providing it was supplied with car presumably.

Well the good news is i'm not going mad... I have looked all over/under/in the car for any sort of nut adaptor but have not found anything remotely close!
Oh well, off to a dealer near by then... when i get a chance!
Mine lives in the little pocket on the front of the tool/jack pouch. Well worth taking the right hand rear locker cover apart to make sure it's not rattling around in the pouch, in the polystyrene surround or loose in that general vicinity.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

When you do manage to find the tool to take them off ( It'll probably break in the process) replace them with the standard nuts , at least thats what I did.I'd rather risk having my wheels nicked than be stuck somewhere with a snapped locknut socket.

...and me, although I note that my dealer rifled through the centre console yesterday before presumably noticing it didn't have lockers fitted.... Cheers
