Judder
Help, some advice needed please.
I have an 05 D3 180k. Just of late I have found after a few minutes of driving the truck has a judder.
Mainly occurs as mid speeds and not felt so much at higher speeds or cruising. I am fairly confident this is not mechanical as as soon as you come off the throttle it stops.
I have read fault codes and replaced injector 5 as a result. I currently have no fault codes but the problem persists.
Fuel rail pressures good at test
Low pressure fuel pump drawing 6.8 amps and producing plenty of pressure
Injector values and balancing all fine
Starts on the button, idols and free revs fine
It really does feel like a fuel problem but dispute the judder will still pull like a train
Best to mention is a manual gearbox.
Thanks in advance for any help

28-32 mph when accelerating?- torque converter, temporary cure two tubes of Dr Tranny. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Its definitely not the torque converter
I doubt it is the engine, more likely the transmission, does it do it if you are coasting? Are you sure it’s not tyres need balancing? Can you feel it through the steering wheel? It can when others can't,

Replaced within 18months
No excessive play in the rubber mount or bearing. As soon as you come off the throttle the judder stops
I have a working spare injector
Job for the weekend is replace one at a time to see if that does anything

New tyres within 6 months, checked the wheel weights all still there. It doesn’t do it on coasting, put the gas on it’s there, come off it’s gone
Thanks

Engine and gearbox mountings, front axle mounting. Those can easily be examined and possibly eliminated before the more complicated stuffs.
I had a friend who went through the expense and time replacing automatic gearbox internal seals only to find that it was a propshaft bearing. He was .

Hi all
Judder continues!!
All 6 injectors tested ok
Both fuel pumps good
Fuel lines clear and electrical connections ok
No fault codes
Wheels balanced
Rear main prop replaced
Front prop dropped out and no play
All final drive ujs ok with no play
All 4 wheel bearings ok
Gearbox and transfer case oils dropped and renewed
Diff oils dropped and renewed
I can’t lie and say I’m not slightly stumped now!
HELP! I am hoping someone on here can tell me I’ve been a fool and it’s a really simple fix
I am considering dual mass flywheel and clutch replacement.
I had judder at light throttle around 60-70mph. It felt like a misfire but more pronounced. A new DMF and clutch fixed it. The only visible fault I found once it was apart was grease leaking from the centre of the DMF.D1 300TDI ES. just kept going, sold at 170k miles, body beginning to rust
D2 TD5 GS. sold at 140k, chassis beginning to rust
D3 TDV6 SE. 194k Still going.

Thanks for the reply, it’s Monday/Tuesdays job to do DMF and clutch. Sounds like my symptoms are a match are for what your were. What was your mileage when it went?
Thanks
The clutch was first replaced at 93k and I bought the car with 140k on it. It started to judder at 148k miles. There was minimal wear on the friction plates so I think it failed due to excess heat from being slipped too much when maneuvering so I use low range a bit more now.D1 300TDI ES. just kept going, sold at 170k miles, body beginning to rust
