Now ... if that had been a lion attacking a "big game hunter" , we'd all have been on the side of the lion..

Who says we're not on the side of the shark? About 6 people are killed by sharks each year* compared to many millions of sharks being killed by people. More people die walking around the beach than from sharks:
Quote:
At the beach, you're actually in more danger just walking along the shore than in the water, according to the Shark Attack File. From 1990 to 2006 there were 16 U.S. deaths due to falling in a hole at the beach compared to 11 shark attack deaths.
* only 2 in 2019

"When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die! You don't know who's children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they were always going to have to do from the very beginning: SIT DOWN AND TALK!"

In space, nobody can hear you scream.
In water, everyone can hear you fart.

I have to say the diver had humongous testicles to stay that calm...I would have taken off like a Polaris missile and got eaten as a result!
