Near side inlet manifold replacement. |
|
From my other thread, I am pretty confident it’s gone. Just looked in the injector sound proofing and it’s wet with oil. It’s the passenger side (UK)
As far as I can see, it’s mainly the removal of other bits that takes the time. Fan and shroud, timing belt cover, battery and fuse box, coolant pipes, injectors and pipes, egr valve, lots of wires.
I have searched, but can’t find a definitive list or sequence.
If anyone has any helpful info it would be much appreciated. I confident I can do the job, I just hate wasting time or breaking things!
One thing I am not too sure about is the injectors. Do I need to replace the hp pipes? What about the leak off clips, read a few threads about those causing problems.
The car needs to be fixed ASAP, and I am presuming that my local garage will be busy, they usually are! So want to do myself.

I reused my pipes you just need to make sure they dont leak by checking them after its bee running for a while.
I would suggest replacing both as it wont be long before the second one goes and its not that much more work.
