Your cover will not be affected if you drive during the lockdown period. However, all motorists should follow Government advice and avoid non-essential travel.

The Daily Mirror seem to have omitted to report a very important lockdown condition in that insurers won't pay claims unless the collision occurs while cars are at least 2 metres apart

Goes against the advice on one of the gov.uk sites that spoke about driving to locations to go for a walk, didn't say yes/no specifically but 'advised' that the excercise/walk at end of any car journey should at least match the driving time taken to get there
