Canada/ Canadian hard stop autobox update ?

Hi has any body heard of the Canada or Canadian hard stop update for the D3 auto gearbox , I seem to remember reading about it but can not fid it in a search ,
The purpose of this is to prevent or alleviate the hard gearchange from second to first when slowing down , any help would be most appreciated

It’s California [rolling] stop. Whistle

There is a Canadian DRL setting.

You can get it from GAP as a paid update to your vehicle, if it hasn’t been applied yet. It mitigates the problem but doesn’t seemingly remove it completely.

The usual disclaimers about if it ain’t broken don’t touch it apply. For example I haven’t applied it to my V8.

Hi Pete ,
Just spoke to Pat and it's £30 for the Fastlane update , BUT if it turns out the ECU gearbox ,engine or what ever already has the latest update GAP will refund you £30 ,

My Gearbox has been recently (6 weeks) rebuilt at Planetgears a ZF authorized dealer and they did the latest ECU update ,and a new TC the latest version , so I will see how it goes over the next few months as the gearbox is still learning adaptions so may improve hopefully lol

That is a very reasonable cost.
