Extended height mode warning when going to access
Hi Folks
Every time I go to access height as we're getting there I get a 'Extended Mode' flash up briefly. We do stay in access mode and stay down, so I'm wondering if I've got a small issue somewhere?
Can anyone tell me how it detects it needs to go to extended mode?

Possible faulty height sensors, see if any codes are available. Going to extended mode, the system thinks you are stuck on something and wants to raise the vehicle to clear the obstacle.

Which is the most likely cause.
Is your "normal" height normal or has it been lowered?- all height modes are taken from normal, if normal tide height has been lowered more than 20mm(Which is easy to do with the Iid tool) when you choose access mode the body reaches the bump stops before reaching access mode height thinks it's grounded and reverts back to normal height. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

As far as I'm aware it's standard height.
I'll have another look when it's on the ramp in January for MOT and bits.
It's the fact it goes down, briefly blinks that and then stays in access height that confuses me most!

Is it possible one corner is lowering more slowly that the others, so the system briefly thinks its stuck on something but changes its mind when the corner carries on to the correct height?
