Any advise on cleaning EGR valve 4.4 V8 petrol please? I think there is just one EGR valve on 4.4 V8 petrol but not sure.
Have tried to search the forum - got swamped by all the diesel EGR items.

Separate the delicate motor and plunger.
Then Scrape the remaining bit
Some petrol and paint thinners to budge sturbon bits

Does anyone make blanking kits? I'd be keen to lose the EGR on my 4.4v8

A write up on this would be nice. I'm going to have a look around for mine, not sure what the symptoms are or what the cleaning would help correct, MPG, Performance? but I'd sure be interested in some pictures with warnings on what not to hit with the hammer.
Would you only need to do if the CEL came on?

EGR valves are not a problem with the V8 unlike the diesels. Unless they’re faulty leave them alone would be my advice. PAGODA

I blanked mine for a short time just to try to solve a problem (which it didn't) and found no benefit. Series 1 V8
Series 2 Hibrid V8
Discovery 3 HSE V8

Fair enough... Had too much horror with EGRs on my TD5s, so I always assume the worst!
