Hi
Anyone ever had issues with ice in regard to the air suspension
I’ve had an amber light come on on the way to work but not since
Wonder if ice can effect sensors or valves causing a false issue
Been ok since but we have had minus 6 temps
Booked in Monday for a look see at the Indy
Any clues
Phil
Tbh Phil I think ice and cold weather in general can cause a few problems to anything on a disco not least the battery The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;

Happened to me as well the last 3 mornings, amber light on start up, left her running for 5 minutes, Tuned off and restarted, no more amber light, Its been at least minus 3 each time. I too believe (hope) that its down to the weather.
Please post back should you find anything else out on monday.
Cheers

If there is excess moisture in you compressors drier it can freeze causing a slow fill of the reservoir.
Simple and easy fix with new desiccant and filters, which should be done periodically. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
I will have a look as it hasn’t been done since I’ve had that’s 5 years
Is there a how to on the process
Thanks

Five years is a bit too long without a service, but it's easily sorted. First you need to establish whether it's a Hitachi or AMK fitted to your car. Pop the bottom cover off and have a look at which one is fitted. Order a drier service kit online from someone like 4x4 Airseals.
There's plenty written on here regarding compressor maintenance, and plenty of YouTube stuff out there as well, inc 4x4 Airseals amongst others. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

When I bought it it had just had a new AMK fitted
Looked at a few on line guides on U tube but none show it being done on the car
I assume once you remove the drying chamber the air pressure is released ,I will have look when I’m less tired on site
Thanks again

You don't need to remove the entire compressor to service the AMK drier! Removal will not effect the retained pressures or vehicle height, but normal precautions apply when working beneath any vehicle.
Thanks a lot
Good news on not removing it , need some better temperatures me thinks before I lay on my back under it
On reading the link do the 2 air lines mentioned come off ok , never done plastic before ?

This applies to all vehicles and machinery not just Discos including lorries, tractors, lawn mowers, electric fences etcIt can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
Yep including my caddy having the brakes freeze on Wednesday night , new callipers not long ago as they where playing up
Once on an electric fence as a kid,big learning curve that 😳
