So not like nearby Farnworth baths where they made it 24m long when the norm was 25 so couldn't hold competitions there..

Ha ha - better even than that was the mangnificent Sharston Baths on the edge of Wythenshawe - the pool was designed to be 50m long... and it was constructed as such until someone came along put all the tiles in and it agonisingly ended up centimetres short!
