Discovery 4 aftermarket unit. |
|
I have a discovery 4 gs model, phone Bluetooth doesn’t work, so brought an aftermarket stereo,I have power, buy using the cigarette fuse, but I am not getting sound, and the aftermarket shows no sound on the screen. So do I need to get sound through the Aux?

Could you post some photos of how you have this set up? If it’s just the Bluetooth for the phone that’s not working it could also be the Bluetooth module but those with more technical knowledge will be able to advise.
Also on the on store was everything else other than the Bluetooth working? Have you removed the old stereo or kept it?
All of this will help diagnose the issue... I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Hi Nigethecat,
Thank you for replying, I think I only have Bluetooth phone not music Version. In search’s for Bluetooth phone, but my phone doesn’t find the Bluetooth name, and doesn’t find my phone.
I have the Harmon kardon system. I tired the connects2 wires to do a plug in and play but it did match up with my system. I’ll send pictures of my setup. Because mine D4 in an early model, not sure what they put in as some say it could be very similar to freelander setup.

Have a look through this thread as well.. it might contain the answers you are looking for
https://disco3.co.uk/forum/bluetooth-updat...th+working
Just to point out that the D3 was never able to play music through Bluetooth so that won't work (unless it's through a third party system)... the main thing you can do is upgrade the Bluetooth module to the D4 one which will give you more features and better quality calls but I suggest you solve your original problem first !
