I went for a spin in one of these today, a 2017 HSE Lux. What’s not to like? I’m guessing the mpg is around 20? PRH

Which "one" did you drive? HSE Lux @ £46k
I've come to the conclusion that SI6 is the most likely replacement and keeping an eye out for the right one.
That said I haven't driven a D5 so hoping its a good drive.

Second hand / 3 years old.
Only 5 on the Landrover used site. Most HSE.

It was at Shukers Ludlow, 2017, 51k miles, £38k. They sold it new, one owner and even unprepared it was very tidy.
It’s not for me just yet- long term fuel is 21mpg and we do too many miles at the moment to suffer that. PRH

I know the one. Keep looking at it. How did it drive?
First choice is Namib Orange. Wife likes the colour. Although she does like the blue as well.

Wife likes the blue. Her second choice.
I thought the one at £46k was ambitiously priced but is no longer on the LR used site. The 51k miles sort of put me off originally as most are lower mileage. That said we wouldnt be doing a lot of miles.
I see the PCP contribution is no more.

I didn’t know about the price. At a guess they bought it in for £35k, the wheels need a refurb- corrosion of sorts, a bit of a mop and polish and there it is. Add a warranty and there isn’t a huge amount in it, especially if someone comes in with cash. PRH

I think the days of money off for a cash sale are long gone?

Long gone. I was told this back in 2011 when I bought a Volvo for cash and was told straight that cash is no longer King and that they prefer finance as they are obtain commission.
Take the depoist contribution / PCP, withdrawn within 14days, and pay it off.

Or not, especially if it’s powered by an ICE. I want the reassurance of a GFV and the option to VT.
I did rebroke the PCP to a company offering a sensible APR though. 👍 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
