I have used this dealer for the last 3 years, and to be honest its a bit hit and miss, my first car from them was a D2 GS TD5, it was 18 mnths old with 30k on the clock, when i picked it up it started to go wrong, the list of things dropping off is too long to post on this thread, most serious being gearbox. I had for 6 months then wrote to the HQ and stating my consumer rights asked for a full refund as they had had the car more than me. The dealer principal contacted me, asked for 1 more chance to rectify things, which i agreed to, and behold, i got the car back after 2 weeks, parked it on my drive, got in it the next morning to find the footwell full of water. Hats off to them they replaced the car for a newer and better spec TD5. Nut it must say the service department was useless in fixing any faults.
Moving on i am awaiting a phone call to tell me my 2007 SE D3 is ready, but unbelievably, it has taken 3 weeks (yes three weeks) to do a reg transfer, seemingly they filled the paperwork out incorrectly (hmmph!!!) which i thought would have been easy to do correctly for a prestige car dealership, but hey ho the problem i do have is that Statstone own every LR dealership for 60 miles around my home, so consumer choice is not mine, i did ponder with buying my "new to me" car from afar, but then it would remove my stick with which i beat Stratstone with when anything goes wrong (which inevitably it will). I hope my new delivery will be well fettled and the previous owner has had all the gremlins sorted out!.
Overall i'd give them 8/10 for customer service (sales) and 3/10 for service dept
i hope this helps anyone who is thinking of using this dealer, admittidly i have had problems but i have also gone back to them so they aint that bad
