Ign-switched 12v in centre console? |
|
Is there an easy way (i.e. without disassembling too much interior trim) to get at a switched 12v supply in the lower part of the centre console? Tapping into the feed to the 12v sockets would be perfect - but ideally I'd like to not have to take half of the interior trim off to get at them! Is there a handy guide somewhere? I've had a look in the Wiki, didn't spot anything obvious...

No sadly.
Have to route thru to the power socket.
Maybe easier to get to the rear one ? Or maybe not.
Look out for a thickish green/white wire

It’s only a couple more feet (depending where you’re routing from) to the fuse box in the glove compartment, tee in there with a fuse adaptor? Think the sockets are fuses F15, f34, f47. 2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

If you dont have heated seats there are 2 spare powered plugs at the back of the center console, easy to run a wire along to the front from there.
