If it’s greyed out you have an comms issue to the DAB module and by that it could be anything from no power to a bad antenna connection. Can you get a DTC?
You can put the screen into engineering mode by holding the valet button down for near 30 seconds. Then have a scan through the options till you find the list that reports on the modules and see if DAB shows as available.

Did you ever manage to fix this? The Dab option has just disappeared from our radio!

Finally got round to looking at this further. So DAB button has been missing for awhile but normal fm radio works fine.
I removed the trim panel at the back and I disconnect the DAB module and then there was no DAB or FM radio.
Reconnected it and same as before with only FM option.
Engineering menu shows DAB as unavailable.
Do people think it’s likely to be the DAB module and I should replace that or something else?
Thanks.

Several people seem to be having problems with DAB reception at the moment, DAB does not have as good a reception as FM in cars particularly if in the vacinaty of heigh buildings, I would ask around locally if others have the same problem in your area before replacing anything. Have you done a search on all three DAB channels on the radio? It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I don’t think this is a DAB reception issue. As mentioned above, I don’t even have the DAB option available anymore. It’s not even greyed out, it’s just not there.

You need an Iid tool, it would confirm if the module was faulty. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I had the car in with the dealer a little while ago for a fault, would they not have flagged this? They didn’t mention it to me but I didn’t ask to be honest. I didn’t want to have to pay them more money than neccesary!

So I took a chance and got a second hand DAB unit off eBay. Swapped it out this afternoon and DAB button instantly reappeared and all working normally again!
Just wish I’d done it sooner.
