Landrover say no. Gearbox is sealed for life.
ZF say have an oil flush every 96,600kms - your choice really. There is a difference between simply draining out and renewing the oil and doing a flush. Only a flush will get all the oil out.

ZF gearbox oil flush.... anyone done one? Was told you can't do a total flush and only a drain and replacement is possible (hence why some do it 2 or 3 times to maximise the dilution of existing used oil). If in doot, flat oot!!

You probably want to do a mega flush with a machine. It’ll exchange everything.

Yeah, I was told by a local garage that you can't do that on the ZF box. Think there's a place down (beside Perth or maybe Edinburgh?) that I was gonna call... Mann-something? If in doot, flat oot!!

You probably need to change the local garage then or they need to get out more….
What happens is that one connects the machine to the transmission cooler lines, adds the flushing agent, lets it do its thing, pump out the old and pump in the new fluid, adds and conditioner, waits for gearbox temperature to settle and top up if necessary.

In each and every ZF 6HP I ever had, it's on the list of fluids that need to be replaced right after purchase (or when you hit ~60000 miles and multiplies of these - if purchased new). Wojtek

Another vote for disco mickey here. I travelled up to get 7 year service completed, belts done and all fluids changed inc mega flush.
And I live in the West Midlands.!
Called in as part of a caravan tour of the west coast, sited the caravan on a lovely CL site less than 5 miles from MMPs unit. He showed me a sample of what had come out of the gearbox and it definitely needed changing. Currently 2015 D4 SE Tech, Corris Grey
