Spotted in a Japanese magazine and consider the sympathetic treatment of the fibreglass roof panel.
The old girl is on her third engine...
* first ran a bearing (design failure in original engine)
* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)

Middle row is folded down with the rear facing seat bolted to the back of it. The third row is up so that you can sit at the table.1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

If you get roof leaks with a factory fitted glass sunroof, can you imagine the trouble you'd get with a fiberglass cover, sealed with some fabric! Richard

My LR3 or Discovery 3 as they are called here in Denmark is one of these rebuilds it have the special roof, the zink and others. Actually it was sold by Land rover dealers but done by a local coach builder.
So why do we have a camper model in Denmark where the nearest house is no longer than 2 kilometers away ?? the answer is in the terrible taxes and fees we have on cars in Denmark. apart from enviromental fees we have a registration fee on 180 % on top of the retail price. just to paint the picture a new Range Rover would sold on the street for approximately 370.000 USD.
I have a Danish friend who has a brother in law that had a RRS “camper”. 😆2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Saw one this weekend when camping, looked very smart. Didn't get chance to look in as we were leaving and they were arriving in Bala, very jealous with how good the weather was today.

Does anyone know if you can actually sleep up in the pop up roof? Does anyone have detailed photos or even measures of the - in best case - bed up there?

My understanding, from conversations with my friend in DK, is that it's there just to add headroom, so as to qualify for being a 'camper' not a car.
His brother law never used it, it was just a way to save a very large amount of tax on the price of his new RRS.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
