| Would this be covered under LR extended warranty? |

Evening All,
What I thought was overspill from the transfer box fluid change at the last LR service appears to be a leak, not sure were from, but it's the transfer box.
I've skimmed the warranty booklet & whilst it states it covers sudden component failure, it doesn't seem to go into detail of what components. A long list of things excluded, but gaskets & seals on engine & transmissions don't seem to get a mention.
What are your thoughts, is it a non starter trying to pursue it with the dealer or anyone had success in the past?

I would check that they didnt overfill it. When I bought my D3 in 2016 it weeped and I was quoted £500 by LR under an health check. I was changing the oils anyway so I did this and its been fine ever since.

I'd hope it wasn't overfilled as it was JLR that did the fluid change.
I've just been out & cleaned it up & cannot see any logical source other than the gasket / torx screws. It's dry around the filler & sump plug, there is not sign of oil leaking from either the front or rear drive shaft seals either.

Not directly relevant, but Warranty Direct covered this on my D4 a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah, I see a couple of other reports of this being picked up under 3rd party & LR warranties, so I'm hopeful, although the list for when it visits in June is growing so i may be pushing my luck!
