Rear sunroofs
Just a question that has bothered me with the Disco, if anyone has an answer.
My vehicle has the panorama roof, but I am curious as to why LR would install
a large single peace of glass for the rear roof, but on the interior there are just
two 'sunroof' cutouts in the headlining?
Seems a missed opportunity to be honest. Or was it simply pennypinching and
deciding not to create a different headliner for the panorama roof version?

I've often wondered the same. I plan to replace my headliner at some point (it has water damage and is rattling around) so was going to see whether I could make a bespoke one with a larger opening.
Not got around to it yet, though!2022 BMW i4 M50. Bought Oct 2022. 10,200 miles and counting...

Plus 1 as that would look really nice without the centre bit of the headlining going across , don’t know if an upholstery shop could maybe remove the headline centre bit and finish it off with like a black trim surround that’s stitched around the perimeter
Also wonder if they fitted it in one piece for strength of the roof structure
As a side note Did see this company sell headlining material

There would be a market for such a thing - agree with qcnr that it was a big missed opportunity!
indeed would look really nice , interesting to see if an upholstery shop could do it

I wish I had a full metal roof, as I detest my panoramic glass roof and sunroof!
So much so that I’ve blacked out the three internal glass sections with black deadening felt.
(I’ve also blanked out the sunroof switch.)
Much cosier inside now …. but if only now I could have a black headlining and pillar trims.
Btw I believe it’s in two sections as there’s a metal structured beam running across the roof to add strength to the body shell.
So I wouldn’t get too happy with a Stanley knife . ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Maybe there's a strengthening section which goes accross under the headlining. Just a thought can't be bothered to go out to look though. 1996 Defender -died (now in landrover heaven😇)chassis to ashes , rust to dust !

Indeed as u say ref the bars going across, haven’t got any sunroofs in mine but assume they just cut the holes out for the panaramic roof
