| Anyone gone from Alde to Blown Air? |
|
Hi all
Out of interest, has anyone gone from Alde to the modern day blown air heating?
I love Alde, no cold spots, quiet etc.
My last experience of blown air was off the back of the old 'fires' and it was awful.
Have they improved with the new solutions?
A lot of the vans we like the layout on are not alde

The blown air on our elddis is from an underfloor unit. Canāt remember if itās Truma or Whale, but itās seems very good and is quiet. There is no āfireā in the āvan like there was on older vans.

Interesting as didn't know Truma have a newer blown air system out, thought all manufacturers had gone Alde. Been put off new vans because of this as do a lot of rallying on battery.
Have heard the Alde system eats battery power.

It seems a lot of T/A are staying clear of Alde for weight.

Yea totally agree about the cold spots, friends have Alde system and must admit far better than the older Truma system we have except for the battery consumption.

My 2010 Pegasus has blown air heating and I wouldnt change it for the Alde.
We were thinking of upgrading last year but all of the newer vans had Alde heating which put us off. lol.
I didnt realise that new vans were going back to blown air, may have to take swmbo to the next C&C show at the NEC when it comes back.  D4 Landmark 66 plate - Current
D4 HSE. Stornoway Grey - Loved this one, but had to upgrade.
D3 HSE Stornoway Grey. NAIL.. Returned to dealer.
D3 XS Java Black - Gone but not forgotten.

Went to the local dealers today
They had a swift dealer special, coachman and Bailey all meeting my layout requirements
Only the coachman had alde and paying Ā£4000 over the overs for it
I just canāt decide if trauma is for me now
