its awful, and when you see the pictures all over the wonderful media of the state of beaches, countryside and parks after lockdown easing it makes you wonder what makes some people tick.
Some, like the lego cargo. were dumped in the sea by accident/forces of nature but the wilfully abandoned waste is shameful.
However it does make me cringe when the deep rooted green brigade say we are destroying this planet..... are we really that arrogant that we believe we can destroy a planet ? we are merely gradually destroying all living life on the this planet. The planet will survive and will eventually thrive again, just not with humans on it. 2011 D4 XS 305 MY12 - gone but not forgotten

The "destroying the planet" bit is shorthand for "destroying the planet for our own kind" really. That, and it's a good in-your-face sound bite, of course.
Sadly, the lure of money will mean the planet becomes less habitable for us and many other species. But life itself will carry on. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

"When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die! You don't know who's children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they were always going to have to do from the very beginning: SIT DOWN AND TALK!"
