not able to get into customer setting mode
Hi guys,
I have a 07MY SE version - based on the owners manual I tries to get into the customer setting mode - unsuccesful - I tried pressing the info button on the left stick with radio on or off, ignition on or off - nothing happens. Any ideas what am I doing wrongly?
Thanks

This option is not available with base unit radio. So if your SE doesn't have the 6 stacker CD then you can't acces the settings menu.. If you do have the 6 stacker unit then it's probably back to dealer for you. What's the point.... it all comes out in the wash anyway!

Thanks for the info - yes I have the basic radio - so no hope for changing the setting on my own

I have installed the steering wheel buttons for radio - I was hoping that the "settings" menu will apear - no luck
I called the dealer - he told me that he has to reload the software to change the language
I though that it is just a matter of one flag to change language - from Italian to English !! Any ideas why he want to spend an hour on such a simple stuff (besides that he will charge me the full hour !)2013 D4 TDV6 S; Baltic Blue; IID Tool BT

The dealer shouldn't charge you (or anyone else!) for initial configuration of the vehicle as it's part of the pre-sales / PDI procedure
Tell them to reconsider their position!!

The original owner bought it in Italy - I bought it second hand - and I do not speak Italian Our dealer here in Slovakia doesnot see it as a pre-sale procedure -because I havenot bought it from them. 2013 D4 TDV6 S; Baltic Blue; IID Tool BT

I could be wrong here but doesn't the 'settings' menu depend on having the seat memory module installed?
If your car is Italian, then I'm guessing it's a euro-spec SE which probably means cloth seats and not leather electric/memory seats....???
If this is the case, then you won't have the memory module installed....2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

As far as I have identified so far - it depends on whether you have the higher CD set. Friend of mine has as well an Italian SE spec (with cloth seats as mine) - but he has higher spec CD with NAV - and the settings menu works there - as well as language changes.2013 D4 TDV6 S; Baltic Blue; IID Tool BT
