Hi all,
I have installed HSE seats into my D4 commercial 2014.
All good and working well.... really like the side bolster adjustment and the lumbar!
I have today installed the HVAC control unit with the heated seat buttons. I fully expected these to light up when installed but perhaps not to function the seat heaters but no.....I get no lights on the switch panel at all for the seat heating. All else works perfectly but no heated seat lighting or function.
My question is.... do I need this switching on via IID or am I likely missing a module or loom? I believe I saw the heated seat modules on the underside of the seats when I installed them but it may of course be the movement electrics.....
Any help very much appreciated! I was hoping this would be plug and play as the heated steering wheel was!
Thanks in advance.

Amazing as it sounds but your hvac unit hasn’t got the led lights to show seat heated strength . A replacement unit can be found on eBay at reasonable prices and easily swapped in.. I had to do same on my GS when I did the upgrade and detailed the same issue on a thread here

Question: assume you bought just the heated seat buttons rather than whole unit? Stolen - D4 Loire Blue

Hi Thanks for your reply....
I Have replaced the entire HVAC unit for one that has the two heated seat switches.....
It was plug and play and all functions work as should... the heated seat buttons do nothing though sadly. A mod a week until I have nothing to improve or add.

Oh ok - so you have the correct new panel so that is all good - have you actually coded the heated seat settings as per those mentioned in the thread above Stolen - D4 Loire Blue

I would think you would need to edit the CCF to say seat heaters fitted

Thanks chaps...
appreciate the replies... hopefully you are correct and all I need is coding...
The electric seats work perfectly as does the heated steering wheel without coding but I will look into getting this done now..... or bite the bullet and purchase the IID.
Ill report back if coding sorts it.
Thanks again. A mod a week until I have nothing to improve or add.

Just to finish this thread for anyone hoping to add electric and/or heated seats.
I purchased the GAP IID tool and altered the settings to show heated seats as ‘fitted’.
I was also able to customise the temperature settings of the low and high between 36 degrees and 44 degrees.
In short the process for my 2014 commercial with “pleather” seats was...
HSE seats from a 2014 added. Just 4 bolts to the floor and swapping out the seat belt pre tensioner from the original seat and popping it on the “new” seat.
Cost 200 for driver and passenger.
Get the HVAC facia panel with heated seat buttons at the top .... plenty on eBay... paid 50 quid iirc.
Code the CCF to say heated seats are fitted.
Such a worthwhile upgrade. The commercial seats were comfortable enough but no heaters, arm rests or electric adjustment. I now have 14 way adjustable very comfy leather seats for £250.
