Wheel alignment trouble
I can't get my head around what I may or may not have done wrong.
Bloke at the garage couldn't work out why the tie roads were so unequal on my car. Long story short, it's been set up and drives nicely, except my steering wheel is off by about 1/8 of a turn and it's unequal turns lock to lock. Although I've been told the tie rods are the same length now.
Is there a quick way of checking I've fitted the correct inner tie rods by measuring them?
I've replaced the inner and outer tie rods/ends and steering column. My only thought is, have I fitted the inners the wrong way around? Is that even possible?

The tie rods have different size threads so you cant get them wrong.
The rods dont have to be the same length normally the garage will lock the steering wheel in the correct postion and adjust the track rod ends to give the correct alignmentAndrew

Has a lower steering column been fitted recently?
Some cheapo versions are manufactured a few degrees out rotationally between the top and the bottom of the shaft.
This causes the steering wheel alignment to be out, usually to the right, when the wheels are straight.

Thanks for the replies.
A new one has been fitted by yours truly
However, in my defense, it's a genuine one and it drove exactly the same after fitting it. I must have got it right.
I'm taking the airbag off today to see where the alignment marks sit on the steering wheel. I may just take it off and put it back on straight.
