Would it not just have been better to drop the character ?

Are "robust" kids now going to get called "Freddy" instead ?

Am I going to have to tippex all the old comics and annuals in my "it will be worth something, one day" store ?

Can you imagine the fall out from that? Fat kid removed from comic = deleting fat people from society. Or something. Wink

I doughnut approve.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

The ripples of Blue Peter and Joey Deacon have yet to leave parts of popular culture after about forty years. Confused

So "Pie-face" is still OK? It'll be "Dennis the Misunderstood" next.

If it wasn't for the fact they are the source of the only German words I know, I probably ought to burn my Commando comics. Shocked

Not quite a definition of "fatty":

I think the Joey Deacon reference is only going to make sense to people of a certain age. A certain middle age. Whistle

Ah, Commando comics. Used to love those as a kid. Thumbs Up
