Flashing 'D' and loss of drive

2016 Graphite 18,000 miles

Hi I’ve tried a search but no joy – only found a flashing P.

I left home but within 100yds realised I’d left my wallet. I turned around and pulled up back outside home leaving the car in Drive whilst shmbo gets out to get wallet from the house. I say that I’ll turn around at the top of the road (road is a small incline). As I move foot from brake to accelerator the engine does not hold the car and I roll back whilst I realise. I move my foot back to the brake pedal. When I try the accelerator pedal again the engine revs but no drive. The gear selector says D (and the D is flashing) but its like I’m in netural.
I select neutral then return to D and all is well and has been since.

All thoughts, comments or ideas are welcome.

You probably just confused the electronics by rolling back when in D, you could get the codes read and see what is stored but if ok no worries.

It's an old post, how did you get on with a software update?
