radio/phone reception help

Hi all,

have a 2010 build year D4 and both the radio (DAB and FM) and phone reception is pretty poor. Spoke with Landrover and they 'suggested' that I have the shark fin pod replaced as this would be the probable cause. Total cost for the shark fin - £100. Supplied and fitted - £600 Shocked

So - anyone have any suggestions/experience of this and what was the fix?
