EPB

okay heres the situation, 500 mil trip with work and the retaining pins for the park brake shoes sheared off and set the shoes into the hub...

so i stripped it down in a hotel carpark and fitted new shoes and springs and pins, greased up the adjuster and caliper sliders.

my question is can i drive it home without adjusting the EPB until i can get it up on axle satnds in my workshop.?

can it be driven with the epb fuse out ?

i havent tried the ignition yet just in case.

I can see why you'd be anxious as it's prone to being cantankerous, so better to set it up properly. If you didn't expand adjusters and the wheel turn without resistance you should be OK.

You can leave out the fuse and once you are in the workshop put it into "service mode" for the EPB then carry out the final adjustments. Thumbs Up

i have only one bottle jack with me and im nervous about putting the auto box into neutral for a few reasons id prefer to have it up on axle stand and allow both wheels to rotate freely

A .will switching the ingnition on cause issues with the epb ?

B or the air suspension which had the fuse out during the strip down.
