SDV6 Coolant Temperatures
Hi
Does anyone know what coolant temperature triggers the car to switch off the air-conditioning compressor and what coolant temperature triggers the dash temperature gauge to go to the red zone?
Thanks
Nick

Hi
Is an engine degrees C of 102 normal in this situation (as shown in the picture). The car is in Zambia and it is a warmish day. The car has also covered 47,000kms.
Does anyone else run an Ultragauge on their Disco 4 that could compare?

Yes it’s normal for an engine to go over boiling point on a hot day when working, this is the reason for a sealed water system, if you take the cap off you will be met with a burst of boiling water because the pressure has been lost, in other words DO NOT TAKE THE CAP OFF AT SUCH TEMPERATURES, WAIT FOR IT TO COOL, even then with care.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I believe its in the hand book - I could be wrong but i think its 105 degrees for 3/4 on the guage05 D3 V8 HSE, LR Passion tree bars, wildbear compressor guard, LRP switch panel, ARB rear locker + compressor, Trigger 6 shooter electrical system
12 RRS SDV6 HSE (Hers) - Gone and replaced with an I Pace - I can tell you now EV is not the future yet

Hi Duc750
Previously had the car up to 108 Degrees on a big long fast hill and temp gauge did not move? I have the handbook but can't find the reference to where the dash gauge should be relative to the engine coolant temperature. I also checked the workshop manual where there are descriptions of operation for the coolant system and could not find a reference there either.
As soon as the hill is over the temperature drops to the low 90's.
