I have recently purchased a 65 plate Disco 4 and notice there is an AdBlue filler next to the Diesel filler cap. Is there any way to check the level of this and how long does it normally last? I can’t seem to find any menu etc in the car, maybe this year doesn’t take AdBlue? Thank you in advance for your help!

Yes A 65 plate has AD Blue.
It can be checked via the dashboard menu. From memory its something like this!
Ignition on - engine off.
Press Menu Button.
Scroll down to Vehicle Info and Click.
Scroll down to Diesel Exhaust Fluid and Click
Displays Range ???? miles
(it lasts ages!) I only filled mine once in 18,000miles. Take care not to overfill.
Hope this helps!

As above, but engine off.
You will get a message when you have 1000 miles left from memory

BS it is not corrosive at all . Not sure where this myth has come from! Urea is used to deice airport runways because its not corrosive to the planes.
If you spill it, it dries with a white crust that just brushes off.

When I filled up the tank because the stealer “forgot “ even though it was part of the service plan and the low level warning went off I just put a 10 Litre drum in, the tank is about 15/18 litres so plenty of space. I seem to remember posts about the system becoming confused when the tank is overfilled. 10 litres will last the best part of 10k miles.
Not sure about corrosion but there was a lot of stainless steel used on the RRS Sir David Attenborough exhaust scrubbing system which used Add-blue. She can carry about 500,000 litres of it. Disco 4

Be careful of ‘brimming’ the adblue tank, as they use an ultrasonic sensor. If there isn’t an airspace in the top of the tank, it’ll read empty! as the sound waves have no space to bounce back & give a reading.
We drain a bit from many adblue tanks because of this.
Test equipment tells you a quantity, always start topping up with a bit less.... Or wait for the warning message & just put in ten litres, that will give you plenty of space.
regards
Steve

It's not adblue that is used for de-icing, it's Urea, so there's a clue, then ask yourself why adble tanks are made of plastic.
Used both in very large quantities, so have a little knowledge.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing ! this is from an AA article which may help.
'What is AdBlue made of?
AdBlue is a colourless, non-toxic mixture of urea and de-ionised water. It’s not actually blue at all.'
the mix is 67.5% demineralised water and 32.5% urea ,so nothing else. We have mixed our own in an emergency to keep machines working
Im guessing the deionised water isnt corrosive so im not sure how your conclusion was reached . Being in a plastic container doent make it corrosive either ,but would need to be labelled as such if it was. We use about 4000lts of AB and 200 tonnes of urea annually on the farm and neither product has caused corrosion.
