D3 HSE Radio staying on and Display inverted |
|
Hi.
My 2005 D3 HSE has developed a strange fault. every couple of weeks, the radio won't turn off, and the display inverts. If I disconnect the battery and then reconnect, everything works and displays fine again.
Any ideas?
Thanks..
Nick

Which display?
Probably need a new radio.
Removing fuse may work too

Hi Nick.
My 2005 HSE also does this sometimes - not turning off - though the inverted screen is quite weird. I've noticed that it happens on mine as a result of a Bluetooth issue. If I turn the engine off mid-call and sit in the vehicle chatting, then hang up and get out, the radio/head unit stays on permanently, until I drive away next time.
I am half minded to replace the head unit with an aftermarket one, such us the chappy nature of the bluetooth on it. 2022 BMW i4 M50. Bought Oct 2022. 10,200 miles and counting...
