Extended roof rail bolt size

Just got the new extended roof rail for my D3

The new rail comes with bolts that are about 6mm wide

But the fixture on the car is wider at about 10mm

So the bolts are too small

If I used the old bolts, I’d have to drill the rail and the bolt heads would obstruct the rack by preventing them being able to slide.

Has anyone had this issue? Should I get an adapter or something?

the bolts or beter screws you did get with the rails are correct..
in your roof should be prefixed "adapters" , on my D3 they were prefixed and under the paintwork, sealed with plastic covers...

but you can order them from LR..
