So I've bu**ered the car up!!! Full story.
We were suffering from the noisy ac pulley bearing for sometime. The water pump got noisy so decided to do both at the same time. I've got the pulley off the ac pump but unfortunately the ring which the circlip fits into has broken away from the body of the pump. I fear my only option is to replace the ac compressor. However it's still gassed up!! Is it possible to degas the system safely without the pump running? How hard is it to remove the ac pump?? Unfortunately I'm a bit restricted by mobility issues so find some jobs difficult 😕

Someone here found a shorter belt, so you could run without ac if you need the car quickly
They is one bolt in the compressor which is a right pain to get to.
And you need a 13mm socket with built in UJ (universal joint)
You should be able to degas it like it is.
